Rubber Mould Paver Plants

Automatic Rubber Mould Paver Block Plant

Rubber mold paver blocks are a popular choice in construction due to their aesthetic appeal, durability, and strength. These blocks are used in pathways, driveways, parking areas, and various outdoor spaces. Manufactured using rubber molds, they offer high precision and a smooth finish, making them ideal for both functional and decorative purposes.

History of Paver Blocks

Paver blocks date back to the Roman Empire, where interlocking stones were used to build roads. Modern paver blocks were developed in the mid-20th century in Europe, with significant advancements in the materials and manufacturing processes. The introduction of rubber molds has further revolutionized the industry by improving design versatility and surface finish.

Purpose of Making Paver Blocks

The primary purpose of manufacturing paver blocks is to provide a durable, versatile, and eco-friendly solution for outdoor flooring. Paver blocks are preferred over traditional concrete slabs due to their ease of installation, cost-effectiveness, and the ability to withstand heavy loads and adverse weather conditions.

Raw Materials Used

The quality and strength of paver blocks depend on the raw materials used. Key raw materials include:

  • Cement: Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) or other types of cement provide the binding strength.
  • Fine Aggregates: Sand or stone dust is used as a filler and provides texture.
  • Coarse Aggregates: Crushed stones or gravel contribute to the block's strength.
  • Water: Clean, potable water is essential for the mixing process.
  • Additives: Plasticizers, pigments, and curing compounds enhance the properties of the pavers.
  • Rubber Molds: High-quality rubber molds ensure precise shapes and smooth finishes.
Mfg. Process of Rubber Mold Paver Blocks
  • Mixing of Raw Materials: The dry mix of cement, fine and coarse aggregates, and additives is prepared. Water is added to achieve the required consistency.
  • Filling the Molds: The prepared mix is poured into pre-shaped rubber molds. These molds are known for their flexibility and ability to produce intricate designs.
  • Vibration & Compaction: The filled molds are subjected to vibration to eliminate air bubbles and ensure even distribution of the mixture. This process is crucial for achieving the desired density and strength.
  • Curing Process: Once demolded, the paver blocks are subjected to a curing process. Steam curing or water curing can be employed, depending on the plant setup. Proper curing increases the compressive strength and durability of the pavers.
  • Finishing and Testing: After curing, the pavers are polished, and the quality is tested. Common tests include compressive strength, water absorption, and abrasion resistance tests.

Grades and Thickness of Paver Blocks

Paver blocks are available in different grades and thicknesses, depending on the application:

Grades

  • M30: Suitable for light traffic like pedestrian pathways.
  • M35: Used in moderate traffic areas such as parking lots.
  • M40: Preferred for heavy traffic zones like industrial areas and roads.

Thickness

  • 40mm: Pedestrian areas.
  • 60mm: Light traffic areas.
  • 80mm: Medium to heavy traffic areas.
  • 100mm or more: Industrial zones with heavy vehicle movement.
Industry Statistics

Global Paver Block Market: The global paver block market is growing at a CAGR of around 5.7%, driven by the increasing focus on sustainable and durable construction solutions.

Load-Bearing Capacity: High-grade paver blocks (M40 and above) can withstand loads of up to 40 MPa, making them suitable for roads with heavy traffic.

India Market Insights: In India, the paver block industry is booming, with annual production exceeding 10 million square meters due to urbanization and infrastructure development projects.

Applications of Paver Blocks
  • Residential Areas: Driveways, patios, and gardens.
  • Commercial and Industrial: Parking lots, loading bays, and factory floors.
  • Municipal: Walkways, pavements, and public parks.
  • Urban Infrastructure: Roads, highways, and airport taxiways.
Advantages of Rubber Mold Paver Blocks
  • Durability: Paver blocks can last for decades with minimal maintenance.
  • Slip Resistance: The textured surface provides excellent grip, reducing the risk of slips and falls.
  • Flexibility: Unlike rigid concrete, paver blocks can accommodate slight ground movements, preventing cracks.
  • Permeability: Certain types of pavers allow water to permeate, reducing runoff and improving groundwater recharge.
